O Sporting confirmou, através
do seu site, que garantiu a
contratação do médio-ofensivo
uruguaio Luís Aguiar e do
avançado chileno Diego Rubio
para as próximas quatro e cinco
temporadas, respectivamente.
Ambos os jogadores serão
apresentado à comunicação
social pelas 13h30 de hoje, no
Auditório Artur Agostinho, no
Estádio José Alvalade.
Luís Aguiar, procedente do
Peñarol, vai vestir a camisola
número 22 e disse ao site do
clube estar bem fisicamente e
pronto para começar uma nova
temporada»: «Estou muito
motivado com este novo
desafio. Sinto que já merecia
chegar a um grande Clube, onde
quero ser mais um a ajudar a
melhorar os resultados dos
últimos anos e chegar aos
títulos».
Diego Rubio disse estar «a viver
um sonho»: «Sou um jogador
muito aguerrido, que luta
sempre para que as coisas
correm bem à equipa e, sendo
avançado, procuro o golo. Sou
muito jovem e tenho que evoluir
todos os aspectos do meu jogo,
mas remato forte com os dois
pés, e tenho um bom jogo de
cabeça. Estou disposto a dar
tudo para conseguir a minha
oportunidade e, depois,
aproveitá-la com golos para a
equipa».
Carlos Freitas, director
desportivo do futebol do Clube,
referiu que os dois chegam para
«ajudar a inverter o ciclo de
resultados dos últimos dois
anos» e promete mais: «Não
ficamos por aqui e durante esta
semana haverá mais novidades
em termos de contratações.»
